Financial Aid Champions are currently positioned in five schools in Fairfax County with high populations of students receiving free or reduced lunches and/or high enrollment in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes.  Champions assist students with all aspects of paying for college; working with students one-on-one to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), scholarship searches, and advocating for students who have special circumstances which affect their eligibility for Federal Student Aid.

While most of the work of the Champions is done during the school day, Champions may also be available via e-mail and phone to speak to parents and students after normal school hours.

And lastly, our Champions also participate in the various College Access Programs and school-based programs.
